Even pharmacies with relatively low dispensing numbers remain in demand, says Carl Steer at Christie & CoOmega Pharmacy in Derbyshire has found a new owner in less than three weeks after being put on the market.
The pharmacy was previously owned by husband-and-wife duo Manny and Poonam Rai, who decided to sell it after a short period of ownership to focus on their other pharmacy in Coventry, according to Christie & Co.
Situated on St Thomas Road, just two miles south of Derby, the community pharmacy dispenses around 3,000 items per month. It is positioned opposite a large modern medical centre in a densely populated residential area. An online clinic and prescription service based in the East Midlands has acquired the pharmacy in a notably fast transaction.“From offer to completion, this sale took just 18 working days which is not only my fastest ever sale in 20 years with Christie & Co, but is also four to six months quicker than a typical sale and we achieved over the guide price,” said Carl Steer, director of pharmacy at Christie & Co.
