A set of processing tools that we show are critical to conducting advanced XPS spectroscopy operations are presented in the processing tools for a new generation of XPS 2025 instrument: CasaXPS. Through this software functionality users can produce quantitative chemical state XPS images to generate visual maps (images) of surface materials’ chemical composition and their electronic states. As a strong instrument researchers in material science and surface chemistry can exploit the information on critical surface characteristics needed for different types of research.
